February draws to a close so I thought I would take a few minutes to check in on my new year, new me.
This month I have slipped a bit with the snacking. With Valentines Day came an influx of chocolate into my home. Chocolate is my kryptonite. I love it. And I can not bring myself to say no. Ok, maybe that isn't exactly true. I can say no. But I don't like to. So this month I indulged more than I thought I would. However I do not feel badly about it. I allowed myself these indulgences as long as I stayed on my workout routine and made sure to get back on track snack wise. Which I have now done.
On the workout front I am doing much better. I have actually Incorporated both of my work outs into one. So I do the less strenuous one as a warm up for the other. I really really like this. The difference is amazing. Everything, and I do mean everything, is easier. I haven't had back problems in 2 months. For me that is a record. I don't' break a sweat nearly as easily.
I want to continue to improve my workouts as they become easier, and these current ones are increasing in ease. So I have decided that March 1st I will incorporate some weight training in with my yoga workouts. I would like to do some strengthening of my upper body so Jason and I are developing what will work for both he and I.
I honestly expected to, at this point, be ready to be done. but I am not. Everyday I am excited for the time I have set aside to work out. I haven't felt that way since I was in Tae Kwon Do.
So I guess the report is: So far, so good!
