DO NOT EAT AT JOHNNY BIGGS!

A few months ago a new restaurant opened near us. Johnny Biggs, Chicago style hamburgers. So when we got a hankering for a big juicy burger we decided to give them a shot. And I never will again.

The burgers are ridiculously overpriced. RIDICULOUSLY so. $8 for a plain burger. Another $1 for every topping? and the burger comes with nothing else, no sides. Pay an extra $1 for fries or $2.95 for the other options. Well despite my hesitation at the exorbitant pricing we ordered. I got a bacon burger with provolone. Jason got a burger with mushrooms. And we both wished for the rest of the day that we hadn't. Grease pooled around the burger. The lettuce (which yes, we had to pay extra for) was completely soaked in grease. It was.... disgusting. The fries had no flavor at all.

Overall it was a terrible experience. The place was so dark that it felt like we were in a cave. I'm not sure what "Chicago ambiance" they are talking about. Closest we saw was a pic of Al Capone on the wall, and that the hostest wore a fedora. That was it. Now, I go to Chi-town frequently. We have family there and soon will have friends there. I have never had a greasy, nasty, overpriced burger in the Windy City. In fact, nowhere have I had such a terrible burger, fast food included.

I will never go back there. Although I did find one thing interesting. On their menu they have a beer mug as a kind of mascot. At the bottom of the menu he makes another appearance. Right above the section where they tell kids that they can eat free. Are you serious? Hi Kids! Drink me and you won't even care that the burgers are so terrible!

Ugh!
